The New House of Nations
Inauguration new House of Nations – April 2013
In April the international association of elite hairdressers, Intercoiffure Mondial, celebrated the inauguration of its new House of Nations with great pomp.
Located in the heart of Paris, this house matches its ambitions and can accommodate a large number of worldwide members.
The key idea of the organization of hairdressers is to fill with life the new House of Nations and Studio Guillaume, to make of these premises a place of creation and inspiration. The House of Nations has indeed been designed to welcome teams of hairdressers warmly invited to photograph their collections, perform trainings, workshops and seminars as well as photo shoots.
On that evening, the association honored M. Otto Sommer who masterfully completed the acquisition of the House of Nations.
The leaders of the organization were also much grateful to Ms. Tanaka and Ms. Tsubouchi and to all the donors for their strong support. Last but not least they warmly thanked the major partners of Intercoiffure Mondial, L'Oréal and Wella Professionals, for their tremendous support since the beginning of the project.
Generally speaking, a toast was raised to everyone who supported the project and participated in its acquisition, renovation or decoration.
Klaus Peter Ochs, the president of Intercoiffure Mondial, widely recalled that the house is open to all members and that the new facilities are available to them.
This home invites to give free rein to creativity, inspiration and friendship, which are key values of the organization.
This house is also a great place for history, a beautiful museum where many works of art mainly bequeathed by Guillaume, Cocteau, Lloyd, Gruau and Fini perfectly find their place. The House of Nations, dressed in its finery, is also a beautiful space out of time where it feels good to pause and admire exquisite paintings, drawings and sculptures.
The 1st House of Nations
It was located at 11bis, rue Jean Goujon in Paris, a very attractive house built at the end of the 19th century. The House was inaugurated on June 16th, 1982 under the presidency of Alexandre de Paris in the presence of S.A.S. Princess Grace of Monaco, the Godmother of Intercoiffure Mondial.
Monsieur Alexandre was the Honorary President of our world wide organisation and S.A.S. Princess Caroline our Godmother.
The House of Nations was situated between the Place François 1er and Avenue Montaigne in the heart of the very fashion district neighbouring Christian Dior, Nina Ricci, Hanae Mori, Escada, Jill Sander, Calvin Klein, Valentino, Caron, Rochas ...to name but a few.
This House was the "home away from home" for all Intercoiffure members and the Head Office of the organisation where various meetings and seminars were held on a regular basis. But it was also the very place where Intercoiffure Mondial exhibited its precious art work : sketches of Manning and Bérard, watercolours of Gruau and paintings of Léonor Fini, but above all the marvellous bronze sculptures by the Grand Maître Guillaume.
The House of Nations is a co-ownership of all Intercoiffure members and the prestigious meeting place of the elite of international hairdressing.
