The 1st House of Nations
It was located at 11bis, rue Jean Goujon in Paris, a very attractive house built at the end of the 19th century. The House was inaugurated on June 16th, 1982 under the presidency of Alexandre de Paris in the presence of S.A.S. Princess Grace of Monaco, the Godmother of Intercoiffure Mondial.
Monsieur Alexandre was the Honorary President of our world wide organisation and S.A.S. Princess Caroline our Godmother.
The House of Nations was situated between the Place François 1er and Avenue Montaigne in the heart of the very fashion district neighbouring Christian Dior, Nina Ricci, Hanae Mori, Escada, Jill Sander, Calvin Klein, Valentino, Caron, Rochas ...to name but a few.
This House was the "home away from home" for all Intercoiffure members and the Head Office of the organisation where various meetings and seminars were held on a regular basis. But it was also the very place where Intercoiffure Mondial exhibited its precious art work : sketches of Manning and Bérard, watercolours of Gruau and paintings of Léonor Fini, but above all the marvellous bronze sculptures by the Grand Maître Guillaume.
The House of Nations is a co-ownership of all Intercoiffure members and the prestigious meeting place of the elite of international hairdressing.
